Well, today’s topic is autosuggestions. This topic was made popular by Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich. If you haven’t read it yet, yes, put it in on your list, it’s a very good one in my opinion.

But going back to autosuggestion, autosuggestion is when you impress something on your mind through repetition so that it goes into your subconscious mind, so that it becomes a connection. So, for example if you want to learn a new habit, you do it over and over again. They say it takes 21 days to learn a habit, then they say it takes another 21 to actually concrete the habit. Then maybe you need an additional 21 so that you don’t go back into your old habits. So, maybe a total of 90 days doing the same habit until it drops down into your subconscious, because the subconscious is our blueprint, that’s what operates the scene. So, that subconscious is the unseen mind, the conscious is the seen mind, the physical, the one you hear and understand. The subconscious is quite silent, but it’s the driving force for everything we do.

So, for example if you were impressed in your younger days of a habit, maybe you were always fearful and were scared of life. And maybe there’s a lot of lack and poverty mentality going on. You find yourself as a mature adult with something, an underlying fear of prosperity, and an underlying fear of making money. Or if you make it, you lose it. You know? There’s that blueprint. So, that blueprint is what we need to change using autosuggestion. So, if you need to learn a habit, you have to suggest something to your mind through repetition. You can use affirmations, affirmations are just words you put together and you repeat them.

So, for example you can say, “World health, world health, world health.” You saying that to yourself all the time, every day, to the point that you start believe world health and abundance are my inheritance. World health and abundance are my inheritance. You know, you keep suggesting that to yourself. At the beginning you may not believe it, because as soon as you say your mind is like, “Uh-uh, you’re broke.” But a word like world health is very neutral. World health, love, peace, joy, and harmony are part of my reality. They are very neutral words that they won’t trigger anything, or that going back and forth of contradiction. So, you suggest to yourself something, a reality that you want. And through repetition you say it, you believe it, you start seeing things in your reality that agree with that affirmation of yours.

Before you know it, you start living that affirmation you made. But it’s a practice, it’s a consistency, and that’s the power of autosuggestion. Basically training your mind to believe the things you want to believe if they were not part of you already. The thing is, with autosuggestion, it also works in a negative way. So, if you watch a lot of negative news, there’ll be autosuggestions that everything is going down, the economy’s going down, and all these negative things that put you in a fear mood. Or things that will feed you fear, whether it’s the movies, whether it’s the news. So, before you know it, you are running this tape through autosuggestion that is negative.

So, you need to change that by running a tape that benefits you, it’s all up to you. Well, autosuggestion is a powerful tool, you can use autosuggestion using even recording yourself on a little recording device, and listening to yourself, auto suggest to yourself the things you want to see in your reality. And the more you do it, the more it will displace the things that don’t belong and replace with what belongs. Autosuggestion, a powerful tool.
